Sometimes you spend so much time working on a concept, looking at the separate small parts and working out the kinks, that you don’t really see the problem with the big picture.
All this work I’ve done on the cover so far, only to decide that it just doesn’t work. Fortunately, as I sat staring at it in despair, a better solution came to me, as a tiny cartoon lightbulb lit up above my head with that reassuring “click”.
Sooooo I’m doing the whole thing from scratch now. Brainstorming fountain shapes.
The price I have to pay for poor planning and generally approaching such a project from the wrong side. I am pretty happy I’m learning so much in the process of making all these mistakes though!
